What is the workshop’s focus?
This 3-day workshop offers comprehensive training needed to successfully implement a Medicare program which achieves compliance and accurate payment. 

Medicare Training Workshop for LTC covers numerous topics including eligibility requirements, skilled coverage, MDS/PPS/RUGs, Part B programming, Part A and Part B billing, compliance, QA oversight, proper notices, and appeals.

Does this workshop require any experience or training?
This workshop is comprehensive, and some knowledge of Medicare/MDS/PPS rules may be helpful to benefit from aspects of the workshop, but is not required.  This workshop is taught on a basic to intermediate level, but we can respond to questions at all levels.

Are Continuing Education Credits (CECs) given?
Yes.  20 Nursing and 20 Administrator credits will be given at the end of the workshop.

How do I register?

By Website:
Go to www.polaris-group.com and click on LTC Institute.  Select the date and location you wish to attend and add to cart.

By Mail using registration order form:

Download and print the order form here.  Fill out all information and send a copy of this form with payment to the address below.  Allow for registration to arrive 14 days prior to workshop.

Will I need to make my own hotel reservations?
Yes, all registrants are responsible for their own reservations.  A limited number of rooms are available at the special rate.  Make your hotel reservations early to guarantee the discounted room rate.  Be sure to identify yourself as a participant in Polaris Group LTC Institute. 
All hotel information is listed on our website.  Please be sure to write down the hotel contact information upon registering.

Am I required to bring my own materials?
You will be provided a comprehensive 3-ring bound training manual that can be used as a resource in your facility as well as forms and procedures on CD which allows you to customize to fit your operational needs.  Please bring your own writing utensils and writing tablet. 

Please ensure that you have room in your luggage for the return trip home.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

  • All refund requests required in writing.
  • Full refund within 5 business days of date ordered (not within 30-day window).
  • Prior to 30 business days of workshop – refund less $150 processing fee.
  • 75% refund within 15-30 business days of workshop.
  • No refund within 14 business days of workshop.
  • Registrant(s) that do not cancel in writing prior to 14 days of workshop will be considered “no show” and will not be eligible for a refund/credit.
